Just Note For this feature to work, your Mac must have been previously (or is currently) connected to the wireless network. And make sure that You must also know the administrator password for the Mac Administrator account, if you don’t know administrator password or Your Mac PC or Mac Book is not previously connected to your Wi-Fi wireless network then this feature will not work.
Find your Wi-Fi password.
Step 1: | Click Go on the menu bar at the top of the screen. |
Step 2: | Select the Applications menu, and then select Utilities. |
Step 3: | Select Keychain Access. |
Step 4: | When the Keychain list is populated, sort the list by “Name”. |
Step 5: | Locate the name of the wireless router that you are trying to connect your Xbox console to. Alternatively, you can use the search box to narrow the results. |
Step 6: | Double-click the wireless network that you are trying to find the wireless password for, |
Step 7: | And then check Show password to reveal the password. |

Step 1: | In the first step just, Open a web browser on your computer. |
Step 2: | Now Just, Type the default IP address for your router or gateway in the address bar (see table below), and then press Enter, (every wireless router or gateway has different network address; some of them are given below. If you have one of those routers, you can use the below given router network addresses). |
Step 3: | If your router is not given below, you can also visit the Microsoft Networking Hardware Information forums. |
Step 4: | Now in the fourth step; Type the user name and password for your router or gateway, and then click OK. |
Step 5: | Note If you can’t log in, refer to your router or gateway documentation to find the default user name and password. |
Step 6: | If you successfully logged in, you’ll see your router or gateway’s configuration page. Find the wireless settings area and look for the WEP, WPA, or WPA2 password, and then write it down. |
Step 7: | Note If you have problems configuring your router or gateway, contact the hardware manufacturer or visit its website. Find your Network key on the router. |

Find the WiFi Password on Windows using CMD(Command prompt)

Step 1: | Open the command prompt in administrator mode. |
Step 2: | Type “cmd” in the Run box, right-click the command prompt icon |
Step 3: | and choose Run as Administrator |
Step 4: | Now enter the below given command and hit enter to see the WiFi password: |
Step 5: | netsh wlan show profile name=network name key=clearNOTE: In place of network name, enter your wireless network name. If, you don’t know it just go to wireless connections and you will find it. |
Step 6: | Now command prompt will show all the details. Just go to Security section tab or setting. |
Step 7: | Password will show up under the Security Setting section. |
Find or Show the WiFi Password on Mac OS X
Step 1: | Now in the first step: Open Spotlight by using (Cmd+Space) keys and type terminal to open the Terminal window. |
Step 2: | Now At the command line, enter the below given command. |
Step 3: | security find-generic-password -ga networkname | grep passwordNOTE THAT: you have to replace networkname in the command with your wireless or wifi network name or SSID Name. For example my wireless network name is singh. And I will write above command like this:security find-generic-password -ga singh | grep password |
Step 4: | Then enter your Mac username and password to access the OS X keychain. |
Step 5: | The Wi-FI network password would be displayed on the screen in plain text. |
