How to set up and use your HomeKit enabled accessories

With HomeKit app, you can use your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch (iOS devices) to control all of your smart home accessories that “Works with Apple HomeKit” accessories. All your home accessories like home smart doors, like lights, locks, thermostats, smart plugs, and more can be controlled over your iOS devices, if all those accessories are compatible with Apple HomeKit. How to set up and use your HomeKit enabled accessories.

  1. Power on your Homekit accessory, which you have just bought.
  2. Connect your HomeKit accessory device to your Wi-Fi: wireless home network, or connect it to a ethernet cable to enable internet on it.
  3. Now Download and open the app for your accessory from Apple app store.
  4. Open the HomeKit accessory app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
  5. Now follow the instructions  in the app for setting up your HomeKit accessory.
  6. You will be asked to enter the setup code, to complete the process.
  7. You can find the homekit accessory setup code in the box, just enter the code to complete the setup.
