- If you are using iCloud, it Stores backups on your Mac or PC
- Storage depends on your Mac or PC’s available space.
- It doesn’t Always encrypts your backups but you can turn on encrypt backups feature.
- Lets you create backups and restore backups again on your iPhone or iPad from you Mac or PC only.
How to manually backup your iOS devices data to iCloud on iPhone and iPad
- Go to > Settings > on your iPhone or iPad device.
- Scroll down and Tap on iCloud.
- Scroll down to Backup and open Backup settings.
- A new windows will open just Toggle on or turn on iCloud Backup, if it’s not turned on.
- You will see Back Up Now Tap on it To backup your iPhone 4, 5, and 6 Plus or iPad device data.
- It will take some time to backup your iOS device data to iCloud.
How to transfer data from your old iPhone to your new iPhone Using iCloud
- Turn on or Power on the iPhone or iPad Screen.
- On welcome screen Just Slide your finger where it says slide to set up to move further.
- ‘select your device preferred language‘.
- Iphone setup assistant will ask you to select a Wi-Fi network you can also choose Use Cellular but only few things will be restored on your iOS device without Wi-Fi connection.
- The next screen will ask you to Turn On the Location Services on your iPhone or iPad. Location services are used by Maps and certain other apps to track your device. If you have lost your device and want to find where it is, if Location services are disabled you’ll not be able to locate your iPhone or iPad. So keep this in your mind. Keep in mind that certain apps like Maps need location services to operate properly.
- Select ‘Restore from iCloud backup‘.
- It will ask you to enter your Apple ID and Password (Apple credentials).
- Agree to Apple’s Terms and Conditions. The following screen will ask you to confirm that you agree one more time.

As far as i know, itunes is the faster, easier and secure way to restore and backup your iPhone 4, 4s, 5s, 6, 6 Plus, iPod touch, or iPad data. Just make sure that you have updated your iTunes store to Latest version.
- Turn on or Power on your iPhone or iPad Screen. On welcome screen Just Slide your finger to move further.
- Now choose your iOS device ‘preferred language‘ from the available list .
