Is Apple Touch ID secure?
Yes, of course because it uses advanced security architecture which is called the Secure Enclave mainly developed to protect your passcode and fingerprint data of your iOS devices. When you set up a new device, iOS will offer to walk you through Touch ID setup.
- Also Apple Touch ID doesn’t store any images of your fingerprint to improve security.
- As Touch ID stores only a mathematical representation of your fingerprint, so it is impossible to reverse this method and hack through your iOS device security system.
- Also iOS and other apps can never access your fingerprint data.
- Only Touch ID uses your fingerprint data.
- No backup can be made of your Fingerprint data.
- iCloud or other backup services are also not allowed to use or store your fingerprint data.
- So you can say that it’s full-proof.
