iPhone Home button on Screen: Assistive Touch on iPhone 11, 12, X, 11 Pro and iPad

Want to use iPhone home button on new iPhone 11, 12, X, 11 Pro, iPhone SE?

AssistiveTouch is a great setting that allows users with certain disabilities to get an on-screen home button. It is also a great, alternative way of using your phone if you have cracked your phone screen. You can access AssistiveTouch in the Settings app and it will add a toggle.

Before I present the steps, let me explain why you would want to do this. Some people may not need this as they can reach their home button easily with their hands. But if you have an iPhone SE or a Plus, which have larger screens but are compact in size, reaching the button on the screen becomes troublesome.

Similarly, if you have a broken home button that doesn’t work or any other issue getting to the home button physically, it can be a real pain.

You can also drag and move the size and placement of the on-screen button to your preference.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 6.0 or later, you can use AssistiveTouch to control the screen instead of using the physical Home button or a switch. AssistiveTouch gives you access to common actions in a menu-like interface. You can tap the buttons to change settings without having to use a switch or tactile button.

Here’s an easy way to get the home button on your iPhone screen, or iPad:

This is a rather simple and effective fix for an unresponsive home button. I recently decided to give the Video app on my iPhone a try and found that the home button was not working properly. The button was so sensitive that it would click whenever I would move my finger anywhere near it making it difficult to browse videos in full-screen mode or close the app altogether. After a bit of troubleshooting, I figured out that: Assistive touch can help with this problem.

A surprisingly common iOS problem is an unresponsive home button. This problem has annoyed countless people, and I know it has irritated me many times. There are two ways to fix this problem: You can either take your device into the Apple Store to get a free repair or you can fix it yourself with some pretty easy steps.
