1. If the message just arrived,
2. tap its notification,
3. turn the Digital Crown to scroll to the bottom of the message,
4. then tap Reply.
5. If it arrived a while ago, swipe down on the watch face to see the message notification, tap it,
6. then scroll to the bottom and tap the Reply button.
7. To mark the message as read, tap Dismiss or swipe the message.
8. Press the Digital Crown to dismiss the notification without marking the message as read.

1.  Open the Apple Watch app on iPhone,
2. tap My Watch,
3. then tap Messages.
4. Tap Custom to set options for how you want to be notified when you receive a message.
