- In order to swap start menu to start screen, click or tap on Start button and
- Then Go to > Settings Window.
- Now under Settings tab, click or tap on Personalization.
- Now Go to > Start tab under Personalization window.
- Now you’ll see a setting that says “Use Start full screen” that’s currently turned off. Turn that setting on so the button turns blue and the setting says “On.
- Now turn this option on,
- And next time you press windows key button, you will now see a full-screen Start menu.

Let’s say the Start screen is the default option on your Windows device and you want to change that to the Start menu. Just do the opposite.
- In order to swap start menu to start screen, click or tap on Start button and
- Then Go to > Settings Window.
- Now under Settings tab, click or tap on Personalization.
- Now Go to > Start tab under Personalization window.
- Now you’ll see a setting that says “Use Start full screen” that’s currently turned on. Turn that setting off so the button turns blue and the setting says “off.
