If you’re having trouble with your PC, safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that can help you isolate problems. Safe mode disables unnecessary programs and drivers at startup, so you can determine whether it’s a basic setting or driver that’s causing your issues. Safe mode in Microsoft Windows is a troubleshooting option forWindows that starts your computer in a limited state. Only basic features and functions will work in Windows safe mode. Only the basic files and drivers necessary to run Windows are started. The words Safe Mode appear in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you’re using.

Windows 10 Safe Mode:

  1. In the Cortana Search field or in the Windows 10 Search charm, type msconfig, and launch the resulting program.
  2. Click the Boot tab.
  3. Check the Safe boot option.
  4. Select an option below that. Safe boot brings you to the standard Safe Mode.
  5. With networking does exactly what you think it does.
  6. Click OK, then Restart.

Another way of getting into Safe Mode in Windows 10 is to use the Shift + Restart combination.

  1. In the first step Go to > Start menu of your Windows 10 PC and click or tap on the Power button.
  2. Then, tap on restart, but remember that you have to keep pressing Shift button.
  3. you can also use the Shift + Restart feature, While on the Windows 10 sign in screen.
  4. Now Microsoft Windows 10 will reboot and ask you to select an option.
  5. Now tap on Choose Troubleshoot. And move further.
  6. Now on Troubleshoot screen Go > to > Advanced options.
  7. On the Advanced options screen Go to >Startup Settings.
  8. Windows 10 notifies you that you can restart your device in order to change advanced boot options, including enabling Safe Mode.
  9. Press Restart.
  10. After Windows 10 reboots, you can choose which boot options you want enabled.
  11. To get intoSafe Mode, you have three different options.
  12. To enable Safe Mode press the F4 key or 4 number key on your keyboard,
  13. To enable Safe Mode with Networking press F5 or 5 number key on your keyboard and
  14. In order to enable Safe Mode with Command Prompt press F6 or 6 number key on your Keyboard.
  15. For more options press F10 key and to enter normally just press enter. Without safe mode

  1. In Windows 10 you can use the Recovery Drive app to create a system recovery USB drive.
  2. Once you have created a USB recovery drive, use it to boot your Windows 10 device and, when you’re asked to load its content, do so.
  3. The first screen will ask you to choose the layout for your keyboard. Select the one you want to use, or if you don’t see it listed, press on “See more keyboard layouts” to get the complete list of available layouts.
  4. Once you chose your keyboard layout, on the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot.

Boot into Windows 10 Safe Mode – Using F8 or Shift+F8

If you used Windows 7, windows 7 as this option. In windows 7 you were able to press F8 just before Windows got loaded, to open the Advanced Boot Options window, in order to go to Safe mode settings or boot settings.

Microsoft says “Windows 8 and windows 10 has a problem – it really can boot up too quickly. So quickly, in fact, that there is no longer time for anything to interrupt boot. When you turn on a Windows 8 PC, there’s no longer long enough to detect keystrokes like F2 or F8, much less time to read a message such as “Press F2 for Setup.” For the first time in decades, you will no longer be able to interrupt boot and tell your PC to do anything different than what it was already expecting to do.”

If your PC has a SSID drive or UEFI BIOS this method will not work. Though On older PCs, with a classic BIOS and no SSD drive, this method might work.
